Saving Money in the Garden

The sun is out and the warmer temperatures bring with them dreams of lovely spring flowers. It won't be long before the hostas and daylilies begin poking through the mulch and we find ourselves surrounded by azaleas of every shade. If you may be interested in participating in a neighborhood perennial plant exchange this Spring, leave a comment below or visit the Facebook page to discuss. This event doesn't need to be formal or elaborate - just a date and time when interested residents can meet at the Pavilion with one or a few plants they'd like to share in exchange for a different variety from a neighbor's garden. All new rose garden....

Stop by the pavilion and check out the new knock-out roses which have been planted in the bed by the boardwalk. Chris Wood is leading the effort to transform that area into a garden that Falcon Woods gardeners can be proud of! Atlanta Botanical Garden

Check out the list of special events at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Notice their special "Gently Used Plant Sale" April 14-16, 9am-7pm.

Hundreds of healthy orchids and companion plants fresh from the Orchid Daze exhibition need new homes. They will be on sale at bargain prices from $10 and up. Cash or check only. The prices are absurdly low, but quantities are limited so shop early for the best selection.

Proceeds will be used to support future Fuqua Orchid Center displays. Entry to the sale is included with the price of Garden admission (Members free).
